In the United States, 40% of the food produced is wasted, while 13% of Americans are food insecure. Join Mount St. Mary College, the Food Bank of the Hudson Valley and other partners (including Orange County, Cornell Cooperative Extension, EPA, NYS Dept. of Environmental Conservation, NYS Association for Reduction, Reuse and Recycling and Hudson Valley AgriBusiness Development) for a free public screening of the documentary film “Wasted – the Story of Food Waste,” followed by a panel discussion and interactive demonstrations. The event takes place Tuesday, April 17, from 6-9 p.m. in Aquinas Hall on the campus of Mount St. Mary College.
