An enchanting night with a Moroccan ambiance at The Culinary Institute of America was held by the senior class on Saturday, August 24, 2013. This charity event benefits The Food Bank of the Hudson Valley and Chef Robert Briggs Memorial Scholarship Fund at the CIA. Guests arrived on campus for a welcoming reception before heading to the Poughkeepsie waterfront to board the MV Mystère. A cruise on the Hudson River featured a cocktail reception, passed hors d’oeuvre, and a silent auction. Back at the CIA, guests enjoyed a four-course dinner and musical styling by vocalist Elaine Rachlin and pianist John Halsey focusing on the 40′s jazz era. $1,100.00 from the evening’s proceeds were donated to the Food Bank.
