In 2005, Hurricane Katrina devastated Louisiana, and from the devastation, Foodstock was born.
Ryan Michael and Lorenzo Angelino of Turning Point Entertainment quickly organized the “Rock to Rebuild” concert. Individuals and businesses donated their time and money, and local bands donated their talent. There was great music, lots of fun, and over $4,000 was raised to help rebuild.
Three years later the first Foodstock Charity Concert played at The Chance in Poughkeepsie and raised over $4,000 and countless canned food items for the Food Bank of the Hudson Valley. Foodstock 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 were equally successful. In all, these concerts have raised over $30,000 to help the Food Bank feed those in need. More than 30 bands, 60 local businesses, and countless individuals have donated their talent, time, and dollars to make these concerts a success. Foodstock 7 will take place on Saturday, November 22, 2014, once again at the Chance Theater. With your help, this will be the biggest concert yet!
