The July 29th tournament was held at the Lazy Swan Golf Course in Saugerties which was the perfect setting to be on the course with employees, business partners, and friends in support of the Regional Food Bank. Hole 13 became the first annual Victoria Langling Community Action Tee in honor of a long time Markertek employee and champion of local community service. The winning foursome was comprised of Terry DeGeyter, Bob Bailey, Ryan Kozel, and Richie Kozel. Second place went to Richard Seigel, John DeForest, Nick Freese, and Dave Tucker. Third place was taken by Keith MacTavish, Erick Krein, Joe Savino, and Garth Bryant. The longest drive was awarded to Ryan Kozel and Heidi Thompson. Closest to the pin went to Steve Dodig. Lastly, the coveted “Most Honest Golfers” award went to the team of Ron Chubb, Matt Phillips, Cody Tatro, and Rodney Battista.

Every dollar donated to the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York provides $10 worth of food; serving over 1,000 member-agencies in 23 counties from the Canadian border to the Westchester border. Pat Lieske, Vice President of Human Resources, stated, “Markertek is proud to be a supporter of the Regional Food Bank and the local community it serves.” Markertek would also like to thank all who donated or volunteered without whom this event would not be possible.
