The Food Bank hosts many special events and appeals throughout the year. Ranging from fundraising appeals at grocery stores and shopping malls to elaborate dinners and auctions, these events raise thousands annually to help us fulfill our mission of alleviating hunger in our community. Annual Reception – Thursday, May 11th – The Food Bank of the Hudson Valley will be hosting this dinner, held at the Salisbury Mills Firehouse as a thank you to the volunteers, donors, and organizations who help to fulfill its mission of feeding those in need in the Hudson Valley.
The 20th Annual Markertek Golf Outing – Saturday, July 29–There will be raffles, prizes, and loads of fun. For more information, or if you would like to participate, please call Pat Lieske at 1-800-522-2025 ext 7323 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Burger & Beer Bash – Thursday, August 17th – The fifth annual Hudson Valley Magazine Burger & Beer Bash brings together all the greatest elements of summer: juicy burgers, cold beer, live music and competition. The Beer and Burger Bash will host local restaurants whose specialty includes burgers. Proceeds from the raffle held at the event will benefit the Food Bank of the Hudson Valley.
Family Fun Day – Sunday, September 24th – Grab the kids and head to Rocking Horse Ranch, one of America’s top rated family resorts, for a Family Fun Day to benefit the Food Bank of the Hudson Valley. The unique event provides day pass access to everything Rocking Horse has to offer including pony rides, mountain tubing, Big Splash Indoor Water Park, kayaking, paddle boating, bungee jumpers, rock climbing walls, and much, much more.
A Place at the Table – Sunday, September 24th through Saturday, September 30th – This event features local restaurants throughout the Hudson Valley that have agreed to donate 10% of their proceeds to the Food Bank of the Hudson Valley, on a date of their choice during the this week.
Walk to Fight Hunger – Saturday, October 22nd – This family friendly event is held annually at the Walkway over the Hudson on the Saturday of Columbus Day weekend. Walk registration begins at 10:30 am, and the Walk itself begins at 11 am.
5th Annual Hambletonian Marathon & Good Time Trotters Relay – Sunday, October 15th – Goshen, NY. The race starts and ends at the Goshen Historic Horse Track and will include a Finish Line Festival with many post-race activities!
