celiac featureThe Third Annual Mid-Hudson Walk for Celiac Disease is just around the corner and straight across the Walkway Over the Hudson. More than 2-million Americans suffer from Celiac Disease, and cannot tolerate gluten, a protein in wheat, rye, and barley. Gluten free foods are available but expensive and rarely found at food pantries and soup kitchens. Some of the proceeds from this year’s walk will benefit the Food Bank of the Hudson Valley to help in its efforts to provide gluten free foods to those in need. Following the walk there will be a Gluten-Free Fair where you can speak to experts and find gluten free foods. To register visit: Digestive Disease Center of the Hudson Valley
